You can use our free audio guides with your phone to find out the back story on Detroit places of interest while visiting them.  It’s like having a tour guide in your pocket! Our audio guides work for smart phones and regular cell phones.

Listen to Detroit launched in beta on October 26, 2012.  The creator of this mobile audio tour project, Laura Herberg, was the recipient of a 2012 SoundCloud Community Fellowship from August 15, 2012 – October 26, 2012.  At that point the project was called the Detroit Mobile Audio Tour. During that time period Herberg assembled a team and set out to produce a few sample audio guides as an example of the potential for this project. What we ended up with is what you will find here on this site. Our hope is that this is the beginning of a much larger project.
